- Talking ALL the time and saying new things every day. Starting to put words together to make phrases and simple sentences. And now says his name to refer to himself -- "Dah-son!"
- Concepts – Alphabet: will repeat the letters after me, and starting to learn the sequence and say the next letter on his own. Counting: He knows to start with 1 and will sometimes go up to 2 or 3. Colors: now able to point out colors and say most of them (blue is by far his favorite); tonight he picked out blue, red, green, and orange correctly! Body parts: he recognizes (points to and says) eyes, nose, mouth, ears, face, hair, belly, arms/hands/fingers, legs/feet/toes
- Teeth – 8 upper, 8 lower. Only ones left are the second molars!
- Favorite toy right now – trains, cars/trucks
- Favorite books – Baby Bear, Baby Bear, What Do You See?, How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon?
- Cute behaviors – still has to find the moon when we’re outside at night…gets very concerned if we can’t locate it; sometimes wants to find the sun too. Shrugs his shoulders with his hands up when asking “where” something is at. Starting to “read” bedtime books with me (will say “baby bear!” during the right time in the bear book; will say “Noooooo!” the right time in the dinosaur book…. etc)
- Not-so-cute behaviors – Now that he has learned how to unzip sleeper pajamas (with an end result of wet PJs/sheets), I have had to cut the feet off sleepers and put them on backwards. Also not cute – the massive tantrums he can have. And sometimes he throws things/hits things/hits me when he’s frustrated. He also says “no” now in a more defiant way at times.
- Favorite TV show – still Blues Clues and Sesame Street
- Wearing size 24 months clothes, and in size 4 diapers
