Jackson is 23 months (as of Sunday)! At-home measurements have him at 29 lbs and 35.75 inches. Here’s a comparison:
| 21 months 27.5 lbs (74%) 34.5 in (83%) | |
| 23 months 29 lbs (80%) 35.75 in (90%) | |
Current Developmental Milestones:
- Talking ALL the time and saying new things every day. Labeling everything as Mommy’s, Jackson’s, etc. Making simple sentences.
- Concepts – Alphabet: knows some sections of the alphabet by memory; recognizes a couple of letters, including Y. Counting: He can count to 10! Colors: definitely has blue down, and sometimes green and purple. Others: up/down, on/off, and open/close
- Teeth – 8 upper, 8 lower. Only ones left are the second molars!
- Favorite toy right now – play kitchen, trains, cars/trucks
- Favorite books – How Do Dinosaurs Go to Sleep? and Goodnight Moon
- Cute behaviors – says “shh, listen” to get you to notice noises (and he will hear the faintest airplane from far away!). Wears my shoes and says “Mommy’s shoes!!” Refers to the cans in his pretend play food set as “apple juice” (he ripped off the labels, so there is no confusion!). When anything falls over, he says, in a very concerned voice “OH NO! It fall down!”
- Not-so-cute behaviors – tantrums and time out in public; still battling hand-in-the-pants and wet sheets/PJs; starting to do the “MINE” thing.
- Favorite TV show – still Blues Clues and Sesame Street
- Wearing size 24 months/2T clothes, and in size 4 diapers
