Jacksonisms

Milkin’ it
Jackson was sick recently, and I think he’s learned how to milk the while pitiful sick thing.  Here was an exchange we had in the car on the way home:
J:  “Mommy, can I watch Cars when I get home?”
Me:  “We’ll see.”
J:  “You HAVE to let me watch Cars…because I’m sick.  And I need to go to the hospital.”
….
So random!  I think I have a little Ferris Beuller in the making :)

Cough-es
Also related to being sick…. Jackson says “I have the cough-es” (pronounced cough-US).  No clue where this one came from!

Emergency
His newest phrase is “I have an emergency.”  (stated in a very calm tone).  He will say something like:  “Mommy, can you come over here?  I have an emergency.  Can you help me put this man inside this fire truck?”

Helpin’ a kid out
One day, after I suggested a way to help him do something, he said “Mommy, thanks for the tip.”     :)

Knock, Knock
Jackson likes to tell knock knock jokes now, except they are really just sweet and not funny in the traditional sense.  Here’s what he usually tells me at bedtime, or sometimes other random times:
J:  “Knock, Knock”
Me:  “Who’s there?”
J:  “Jackson”
Me:  “Jackson who?”
J:  “Jackson loves you!!”

Numbers guy
The other day, when he saw some numbers, he said out of the blue – “an upside-down 6 is a 9.”  He continues to surprise me with the things he knows!
