We had a fun weekend of July 4th activities! We had fun playing at the house, in the sprinkler and just out in the warm summer air. We met up with some friends and visited one of our favorite parks for a celebration, complete with rides/entertainment, music, and fireworks, of course! And yesterday we had more summer fun around the house, and had a scrumptious southern dinner – bbq wings, parmesan roasted squash, pasta salad, baked beans, and watermelon – deeeelish!!
Here are some pics of our fun 4th times!
getting ready to go out for 4th fun!
squeezies!! lovin’ on the boy.
slide at the festival – he loved this obstacle course!
Riding the train – Jackson was a bit too nervous to put his hands up… looks like I”ve got someone who inherited my cautious nature :)
ferris wheel time!
cute little friends :)
this picture is hilarious!! the kids look like crazed zombies! They were running, chasing, dancing, jumping, active little balls of energy all night! When I asked Jackson what his favorite part about the whole night was, expecting to hear “rides” or “fireworks,” he instead answered “running and chasing with my friends!”
watching the fireworks – how cool!
sparkler pretty! I tried to get J to hold one, or throw some poppers, but the cautiousness prevails, and he passed :) Can’t say this is a trait I’m too worried about! :) I’ll be your sparkler-holder as long as you want, J-man. :)
pasta salad yummmmmmmmm.
What a fun holiday!
