I’ve been jonesing for a re-visit to NYC recently, and luckily stumbled into a situation where my bestie, Ames, wanted to go visit a friend who lives in Brooklyn, so we had a place to stay, gratis!
It was a divine long weekend --- unplanned (difficult for the planner that lives large in both of us!), low key, and totally unlike the usual big city vacay. And funny enough --- the last time I visited NYC, it was also with Amy!
A few of my favorite things – meeting up with folks from work for a Manhattan happy hour, good food and cocktails in Brooklyn via recommendations from our local friends, lounging in Prospect Park, dancing with comedians to 80s music, and exploring the streets of Park Slope.
Lots of subway rides – luckily our friends knew exactly where to go, so we just followed along without looking like clueless map-confused tourists :)
Lounging on the grass in Prospect Park at night – deliciously chillax.
I can totally see myself as a BK girl.
Happy Hour in Bryant Park with some of my work girls :)
the pink brownstone!
yummy brunch food & cocktails
Ready for a night out! We hit up a local bar that just so happened to have a comedy set + dance party planned for that night. Serendipitous. We had a blast!
lunch & lounging in Prospect Park on Sunday afternoon. in love with this entire moment.
oh no :( time to leave…. waiting for our car pickup to head off to lga.
…. more to come – my pics of the beauty & character of Brooklyn & NYC! I walked with my face behind the camera everywhere we went!
