Some funny statements from my little guy recently:
After I took a book away at bedtime, Jackson informed me: “you are so mean, you need to go to jail.”
In similar ugh-fashion, one night he was angry with me at bedtime, and when I kissed him goodnight, he made a big ordeal of wiping the kiss off his face!
While driving in the car one day: “My family drives all over the road!”
Super awwwww moment: “Mommy, it makes me sad when you’re not with me”
Super awwwww moment #2: with a hug, “I kinda really love you, Mommy.”
My little exhibitionist is often imploring “look at me, Mommy!” or “watch me” or “watch this, Mama!”
One evening when he stepped away from the table while eating, (and worried Mocha would get his food): “Mommy, will you protect my taco?”
After missing his little baby-buddy C. when he went back to his home in ATL: “Mommy, C. should live with us, and N. [C’s big brother] should live with Daddy.”
With a dramatic sigh, “…… I had a really, really busy day.”
Here’s an example of J’s two favorite things – knock knock jokes, and potty and/or silly words… here he creates the ultimate mashup: “Knock Knock… [who’s there?] … Banana!……….. Banana you glad I didn’t say poop?!?!” I like that he doesn’t go with the conventional “orange” for his setup :)
He tells on himself without realizing it…
When he told me his muscles were sore, and I asked him why: “my legs are sore too, from jumping on the bed when I was supposed to be sleeping!”
“See my car, mommy?? I was hiding it from you earlier under my pillow at naptime.”
A lil’ remorse…
Jackson is often heard saying “I didn’t mean tooooooooo….” and “it was an accident” (even when it clearly was not – haha!)
He also throws out “Sorry…” quite frequently.
