Well, the first trial of soccer has come and gone – Jackson participated in a soccer team this spring with our local city’s parks & rec organization. It was a fun experience, but Jackson just doesn’t seem particularly into sports, at this point anyway. The start to the season was a bit rough, with a lot of refusal to even participate at all. Eventually, he began to join in with the team, but during games, was often particularly uninterested in actually attempting to do anything with the ball, and at best, stayed on the perimeter of any action. It was quite funny at times :) We’ll continue to expose him to sports as he grows up… it will be interesting to see if there is any particular sport that will pique his interest, perhaps once he’s older, or maybe he will be more inclined toward individually athletic games vs. team sports.
