The way to a boy’s heart
“This is the goodest day in my whole entire universe!” -- while eating 3 small chocolate candy treats.
Self Regulation
This one’s from a while back, because Jackson is now allowed to watch Sponge Bob, but he made this announcement when he knew he wasn’t supposed to: “Mommy – I have bad news. Guess what’s coming on next – Sponge Bob. And I’m not allowed to watch that.”
Eenie Meenie Miney Mo
In our world now, the way to solve every decision in Jackson’s mind comes down to this method of choice. What’s funny is he will land on one, but quickly slide it over to his original preference anyway.
Noble lack of aspirations
“I don’t want to go to college.” [why?]
“Because I want to stay with my parents all the time!”
More candy love
Sweet treats bring out the vocabulary in my little guy, apparently.
“This candy is MAGNIFICENT.”
[ me – Did you just say “magnificent”? ]
“Yes – and that means it’s yummy.”
Chocolate rain
[ me – This rain makes me sleepy… ]
“This rain makes me think of chocolate.”
Time Lapse
Jackson still struggles to understand the concept of time (as was evident with our 4 hour car trip to the beach….) and he often tries to make comparisons to lengths of tv shows or movies. This comment the other day was pretty funny though:
”A few minutes is like three hours.”
