Jackson’s second-and-a-half birthday :)

So I started a tradition at 6 months old where we celebrate Jackson’s “half” birthday on Aug. 17th – usually just with a special activity, small gift, and some kind of birthday treat.

This year, I had to work, so we went out to dinner, to one of his favorite restaurants, Showmars, with his grammy and pappy.

When I first asked him what he wanted to eat AT SHOWMARS, he repeatedly answered “Taco Bellllll!!!”  I decided he really  meant cheeseburger.

Then we ran into Target nearby and I let him pick out an inexpensive car toy (since what I had ordered for him, the Mighty Machines construction dvd, hadn’t come yet!)… he chose a small ‘Mater tow truck.

Jackson either doesn’t like the southern spin on the name, or wants it to align more with the function, but he refuses to call him“Mater.”  He will correct everyone and say “No, it’s TO(W?)-mater!”

Then we stopped at Chick-Fil-A for some ice cream and play time.  Fun times!

Here are some shots of me trying to get the growth update picture --- what a silly face.

Finally got a usable shot! :)

Me:  Jackson, how old are you?
J:  Two!
Me: … and a …. ???
J: Half!
