Good ideas
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, Mommy.” – sometimes his response to me if he doesn’t want to do something. He is often asserting whether he thinks something is a good idea or not :) Guess it’s better than a solid, pouty “No!”
Brothers
At the mall play area recently:
J: “Mommy, who’s my best brother?”
Me: “You don’t have a brother…”
J: “Yes I do!”
Fantastic!
He’s suddenly started saying “that’s fantastic!” occasionally. Love it.
Old MacDonald’s
Jackson still refers to McDonald’s as “Old MacDonald’s,” and the other day as we drove by one, he started singing a random song:
“Old MacDonald had a restaurant
E I E I O….
and in that restaurant he had a HAMBURGER!
E I E I O ….”
…and it went on through a few more verses with fries and a cheeseburger too. I was astounded with his creativity and logical comparisons and could not stop laughing!!
And in random growth news….
My little Handy Manny ‘round the house is obsessed with real tools, so I try to hide them away, but I mistakenly left the measuring tape out for a few days. Doesn’t help that Milli on his beloved Team Umizoomi has power ponytails that zoom out for measuring things either… J was loving going around the house measuring things on his own. So I realized we haven’t charted his growth in a while, and coerced him into lining up with the tape. 38” tall (76 percentile)! The boy is already up to 62% of my height…. yikes.
