Schieleville

We went to the Schieleville event at the Schiele Museum this evening.  Jackson loves the museum, but he usually goes with his Grammy, and I haven’t taken him in a while, so I figured it would be fun to do this Christmas event.  In the end, we didn’t get to see much Christmas-y stuff, because it looked like the main event was really just waiting in a humongo line of antsy kids to see Santa in some secret exhibit room.  No way am I standing in that line with jumpy J, considering we’ve already seen Santa :)  So we were content to just roam around the  museum, at a discounted rate, with it nearly empty.  Score.  We did watch a few minutes of a Christmas movie in the theater and there was some fake snow on our way out (which felt very realistic considering the temps!).  Here are some of the pics:

Come here, fish!

By far, his favorite thing to do – press the buttons and light up the pictures.   Other top contenders for favorite things – the exhibits with the audio phones where he could listen to narration and the “eeeeewwwwwwww” icky bug display with magnification glasses to get all up in their icckkkyy bizness.

His vocabulary astounds me so often that I actually did think he could have randomly said “irrelevant.” Equally impressive, he recognizes the number 11 apparently. Also interesting to note --- he kept asking to see the “numbers” and looking for them all over the museum. When he was delighted that we found them, he asked to put them on his Christmas Wish List.

On the way out ---- SNOW!!  (fake, provided to enhance the Schieleville experience).

snow! Snow! SNOW!!!!!!
