Jacksonisms

Super happy during popcorn/movie night last weekend!  (and yes, that is blue painters tape he is wearing, from a recent handyman-J project)

I feel like I have so many of the “Jacksonism”s these days – he’s always saying funny, clever, and surprisingly advanced remarks! :) 

Growing Up – he can now go by himself into the kitchen, and pour water in his cup through the refrigerator – he’ll do this on his own now! Why does it seem like just recently that I was meticulously hand-washing his bottles, and mixing his special tummy-issues formula with the precision of a trained chemist?!?! 

Workin’ out – Jackson decided to lay on my belly while I was doing crunches during a workout routine the other day.
Me – “are you trying to impede my workout?”
J – “yes.”
Me – “why?”
J – “I’m hugging you because I love you so much!”

Control – At dinner one evening, he randomly said, “I have everything under control.”

Birth day – Jackson recently discovered a stuffed toy he was given when he was born, and his Grammy must have explained the story to him.  He showed it to me and said “Grammy gave this to me last night when I was born.”  (lately, everything that has happened in the past occurred “last night”)

sibling rivalry – We were reading a book from the library where a boy refers to his “little [baby] brother” often, and after the story Jackson said “I’m getting a new brother tomorrow!”
