It’s so much fun teaching Jackson about the holidays and experiencing them with him now that he can understand the concepts :) We didn’t do up Valentine’s day too big, but we have been reading some books (his favorite was Clifford’s First Valentine’s Day), and we did take some time this past weekend to make some Valentine cards. I printed some free Cars cards from the Disney website off at home and pulled out some scrap red and pink paper and fuzzy pom poms; we completed the supplies with his safety scissors and (newest obsession) glue stick. He is so smitten with gluing things, that all he wanted to do was glue one piece of paper to another :) But I did cut out some hearts, and other shapes, and he did end up with some unique creations.

I asked him to choose a valentine card for each person – it was cute… alas, I ended up with a plain ole Cars one, instead of the handmade pink & red one I was coveting. Still adorable though!
We celebrated the day that evening by me just letting him have some of his favorites – he chose quesadillas for dinner, and then we watched Cars together and had an ice cream treat :) I definitely wanted him to know that he was my favorite Valentine!
