A rare (much-needed) nap time for both of us after a particularly conflict-riddled afternoon …
Jackson has decided that blue painter’s tape over his mouth somehow transforms him into ninja status. I love the irony. Here my little “ninja” helps cook breakfast-for-dinner, one of his favorites.
More ninja time. I really hope the neighbors don’t get the idea that I’m putting tape on my child’s mouth… the irony is wearing off and the fear is setting in….
Jackson’s preschool teacher retired recently, and all the students created a scrapbook page for her. I gave Jackson full creative ownership, so of course his page was filled with photos of monster trucks and Lego Ninjago characters. He will be aptly remembered :)

Concentrating…… it’s very rare to see this little boy sit still with an artistic or other quiet activity for more than 30 seconds; rare moment!
Boys just wanna rock the backward hat and a sword…. and insist on wearing mismatched socks. Just because.
