I decided to set up the sprinkler for Jackson to play in on Sunday afternoon – it was a hot day, and I figured an easy way for him to have fun and get some energy out before nap time. I didn’t know if he would like it – it was my first time ever trying it out with him. Once I finally figured out how to work it, he had a blast! Now I think I need to get a more kid-friendly one :)
He enjoyed adjusting the settings and direction… I stayed far out of shooting range up on the deck :)
Mocha had fun too running around the yard…
…OH! shot to the face! She quickly decided she’d had enough and stayed out of sprinkler range too :)
Such simple things are always such fun :)
On the plus side, he did wear himself out running in the yard, and napped better than he has in a long time at home. On the bad side though… we must have ants in the yard (or something he’s allergic to) because he ended up with rashy feet that night! I need to check out the yard…
